Up and coming star

Well this week’s photography challenge, rise/set, couldn’t have come at a better time. We have just returned from a trip to Locarno, during which I broke with habit and decided to go out for some sunrise photography. Normally I am definitely a sunset type of person, it can be really hard for me to drag myself up out of bed while it is still dark outside, but I enjoyed my sunrise outings so much that I think I will make them semi-regular. Sunrises seem to be haunted with a stillness that is lacking at sunset, as if every creature does not want to be the first to call the day into life. Or perhaps it is simply the lack of human activity at that time of day.
I haven’t had the chance to do much post-processing of the photos from the trip thus far, so I just have the three images for you today. I particularly enjoy the pastel colours of the first image, even if the exposure is technically imperfect. Thanks again for stopping by and taking the time to read my post!

Das Thema der Fotografie Herausforderung für diese Woche hätte nicht zu einen besseren Zeitpunkt kommen können. Wir sind gerade von einen Aufenthalt in Locarno zurückgekehrt, bei der ich mich von meiner Gewohnheit verabschiedet habe und mich entschlossen habe, ein paar Sonnenaufgangsfotografien zu machen. Normalerweise bin ich eher der Mensch, der den Sonnenuntergang genießt und fotografiert, meistens weil ich das Aufstehen in der Dunkelheit sehr schwierig finde, aber ich habe meine Ausflüge in der Morgendämmerung so genossen, dass ich sie jetzt regelmäßig unternehmen möchte. Sonnenaufgänge scheinen eine Stille zu besitzen, die einfach nicht am Sonnenuntergang zu erleben ist. Es ist als ob kein Wesen sich vertraut, diese Stille zu zerschlagen. Oder vielleicht ist es nur der Mangel an menschlichen Aktivitäten zu dieser Uhrzeit, dass die Stille beherrschen lässt.
Ich hatte bis jetzt wenig Zeit die Fotos von der Reise zu bearbeiten und so habe nur die drei Fotos für euch heute. Ich mag die Pastellfarben des ersten Bildes sehr, auch wenn die Belichtung nicht technisch korrekt ist. Danke nochmals für den Besuch und das Lesen meines Blogeintrags!
